1. The Contra game provided here is a non-installation version. After downloading the compressed file from this site, extract it. Double-click "VirtuaNES.exe" in the extracted folder to run the FC emulator.

2. Once the emulator window opens, click "File" at the top left corner, then "Open." Navigate to the directory where "VirtuaNES.exe" is located, and select the file "hdl30tm.nes."

- 30 Lives Password [for both 3-player and 5-player versions]: On the title screen, press 1P Right Left Down Up A B Start

- 100 Lives Password [for 20-player version]: On the title screen, press 1P Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start

- 7 Music Selection Password [for 3-player version]: 1P AB (hold) Start. Use directional keys to choose music (B for preview, A to stop)

- Stage Select Password [for 5-player version]: On the title screen, press 1P A B B A A — Stage 2, 1P A B B A A A — Stage 3, and so forth up to Stage 8. If these don't work, try 1P A A A B B — Stage 2, and so on for subsequent stages.

- Stage Select Password [for 20-player version]: On the title screen, hold Down, then press 1P B — Stage 2, 1P B B — Stage 3, and continue similarly for Stages 4 to 8. After entering any of these passwords, press Start to begin the game.
